It will fit. The rail of the stock is lower than the mount rail. I've actually shot the rifle the mount is on. I will say that I don't think he was 100% happy with the mount....but they still may be the best thing going for an m1a.

It does NOT fit! I had to mill off the underside of the front of the mount to clear the 12 O-clock rail on the chassis. Kinda hard to tell from this picture, let me know and I can get you a better picture of it.

Thanks for the response, I know it won't fit on my EBR (I have the regular top rail that goes all the way to the receiver). If you could send me some more pics and any input on how you did this, I'd appreciate it!

I just took off the last 4 or 5 piece of the picatinny rail on my Sage. That give's it plenty of clearance. The Sadlak mount is hard to beat for a solid scope mount. I haven't used the LARUE but I don't like the idea of the scope not being mounted to the receiver. The Sadlak's are damn near bombproof when they are set up right ie locktight on all the screws except for the set screws.

Long over due update, but I ended up the sadlak mount milled a little, the good folks over at US Optics did this for me. I think this is the best mounting platform for optics for the m14 and/or EBR. Especially for the price vs. the other options out there.
