Rifle Scopes Mounting a Viper HST to an AR - which mount?

Hey everyone,

I have an AR with magpul rear BUIS that I'm mounting a Vortex Viper HST to and can't decide which mount would work best. I'm looking at Aero Precision mounts.

Their Ultralight 30mm come in an SPR configuration and slightly canted forward. Is there any reason to get the SPR over say the Ultralight "extended"?

I don't want to push the scope too far forward to accommodate the BUIS.

Also, for $100 is there other better mounts? My only requirement is it be FDE to match my rifle. Don't feel like paying to have the mount Cerakoted when the price difference between black and FDE is moot from most manufacturers.

Warne has nice Extended unit mounts that come in diffrenernt colors from the factory. They are right there in that price range.

I talked to Aero. Unfortunately their mount isn't high enough to where the scope will clear a Magpul rear BUIS.
