Rifle Scopes Mounting scope in QD mount

I just got a 3-9x50 conquest and a larue 104 mount. Can I use two small levels to make sure that the scope and the mount are squared up with each other, then just put the QD mount on my flat top AR? I just want to make sure there is no can't in the scope.

Your method would require that the reticle not be canted in the scope, and that the top turrent cap be perfectly level and in line with the reticle. Sometimes it will work, other times not...

I would level the rifle based on the top rail, then align the reticle on a plumb bob string ~20 yards or so away.
