Mr556?

Re: Mr556?

Hard to say what the reception will be. I would say die hard hk fans will get one, but I don't really see this winning over many run of the mill shooting enthusiast.

I believe price and lack of features (folding stock, adjustable gas system, quick change barrel) when compared with a scar or acr will make them more attractive choices.

Not sure why a folding stock is a must
The 416 seems to do ok with a can as is
The barrel was designed to last at least 2x as long as a standard AR barrel, and can and has been changed on the MR223 models.

To quote one of my own videos: "Why do you need all of that shit?"

I'm not saying those features are a must. What I mean is that if I'm looking at a rifle thats roughly $2200-$2500 I would want the rifle that offered the most to the user.

All I see in the mr556 is another piston ar, which are already on the market for prices under 2k. It seems to me that if this rifle is going to be in the scar price range it should have features that make it worth the price.

Re: Mr556?

Won't get one. All it is is a fancy new whiz bang gas-piston design that probably has issues with carrier tilt, and loosening barrels....

I don't like HK all that well - not to say they don't make good rifles, but unless they try a little harder to help the civilian and smaller law enforcement agency markets, they won't have me as a customer.

HK. Because you suck. And we hate you. </div></div>

+100

Thank you sir. That says it all about HK 100%. I don't own any and don't plan on it. As it's said in the link. Their stuff is often cheaply made and costs twice what it should. I'll keep rockin LMTs and GLOCKS
