MUST WATCH: Innocents Betrayed: Gun Control Documentary

I've watched this documentary multiple times. It's hard-hitting and something all Second Amendment lovers, and all Constitution abiding folk should watch.

Innocents Betrayed: Gun Control in the 20th Century

Me too. It is one sobering history lesson that hits you right where it matters the most.

This is one of these things that people should be reminded of every once in a while. Education is one of the most powerful weapons we can wield against evil. Thanks for posting.

PS: Made the embed hot for ya,

You're welcome man,

And contrary to what many ill-informed people say about the 2nd Amendment being outdated.............In this era where surveillance / population control technology continues to improve at a frightening pace, the 2nd Amendment and an armed and wary populace is needed MORE THAN EVER.

The sad truth is that no matter how true or clear or pointed the message it falls 9n the ears of lemmings . The message while so concrete and fundamental , so elemental that it could have it's own nuclear weight will not be heard by those who slumber under the deceitful fog of Government protection .
While it is a living horror to watch those who would abdicate their duties as citizens , parents , husbands and wives it is equally horrific that they would trade the rights owned by other Free Men . Rights bestowed not by man or government but by the Creator . Rights that do not disappear by mear pen stroke or vile twisted lies . Unrevokable , undeniable , printed in our DNA . And yet the deaf men will be our undoing . Evil men only have the power that Freed Men cede to them .

Zero surprise that the NYT was complicit in knowingly/falsely offering support for a communist regime. Some things never change.

Netflix has a pretty good documentary on the Einsatzgruppen. Most people went to their grave like sheep. Over and over again people could not believe what was happening until it was too late. Other people, quite bravely, resisted without any weapons at all only to be shot on the spot. It is at times difficult to watch. I have studied this since I was in grade school and still am in a state of wonder at both sides. How could the aggressors been so evil and how could the victims been so passive? Given what had happened under Stalin I am incredulous that no one (it seems) bothered to train in self-defense.

One particularly nauseating segment is on three Jewish girls who refused to suffer the humiliation of disrobing before being shot and shoved into a pit. They physically resisted and were then beaten and of course killed. Their bravery in this final moment brings a tear to my eye. I am torn between sadness and anger that their father did not equip them with the training and tools to shoot back well before they arrived at the pit.

Nazis marched into the Ukraine and slaughtered at will, with most of the trigger pullers being locals. The population had long since been disarmed by Stalin. While they were helpless against guys with rifles, they were just as helpless by not preparing themselves psychologically.

So who is introducing a newb to shooting sports in 2019?

I cant like this enough. The mental state of the aggression and victim is mind boggling. I have one new shooter started last summer. And more planned for this year.

The tough conversations are why we need to and the facts of what happened in the past WILL happen again.

They/them that feel unable/unwilling to take the resposibility have a great need for an father figure/authority they'll feel will take the task for them.
When the true nut cutting starts they'd sell every other victim to the reaper even if it only meant they were the last in line.
An important point you've brought up.
If you get rid of "the creator doctrine" who do you think will decide what rights are enjoyed?

The tendency of the human brain to 'freeze up' or 'wander' when someone is faced with a life-threatening situation is very real and can explain why, historically, entire populations had marched meekly to their deaths, even when they knew that they were going to be slaughtered.

When it comes to extreme survival, it boils down to whether you have "it" in you. Some people call it "warrior instinct". Marc MacYoung has written an entire professional thesis regarding the "warrior instinct" and why so few people actually possess it naturally. Check out these below and see how he breaks down the psychology of combat and survival into their basic components. Marc 'The Animal' MacYoung is a man who is no stranger to violence. Having grown up on the mean and gritty streets of gang-infested Oakland during the 1980's and 1990's, he has witnessed some of his closest friends lose their lives from gang violence or spiral down the maelstrom of hard drug addiction. He has literally had to shoot and stab his way out of death's grip on the streets throughout his childhood, adolescence and adulthood and today, is one of the leading and undisputed experts on weapons and the psychology of combat. Frankly, this man has got a very impressive resume:

The difference between sparring and survival. Do you have "IT?":

http://www.nononsenseselfdefense.com/knifefighter.html

Some highlights:

I teach knife work internationally. That means that my skill with a blade has taken me - literally - around the world. This extensive traveling has also allowed me to see a very wide spectrum of how knives are used in other cultures. As well as standards of training far beyond just my local area and style. I have also had the opportunity to spar with, and work out with, students from a wide variety of styles and instructors.
Generally I slit their throats within a few moments
This is not to say that I am better than they are. In fact, most of them are much finer martial artists than I am and far more technically talented.
However, their hearts and heads aren't in the right place. Whereas all I do is "flip the switch" and go to town. What do I mean by that? A man named Bob Taylor once said of me "Yeah, there's a lot of people who could kick Animal's ass in the ring. Thing is they'd lose in an alley because he'd run their asses over with a truck."
And you know what? He's right, I would.
That's because surviving isn't about skill, it's about something else. And you can have all the skill in the world and still lose to someone who has "it."

-----------------

I give you all of this background to explain what happened next. Alan and I started talking shop. I mentioned in passing a particular knife fighting stance that was giving me trouble. He took one look at it and said "Oh that's easy"
Stop for a minute, you do NOT tell a 24-year-old-fighting stud that his problem is "easy." All of a sudden my pride was up and I said "All right old man, show me how "easy" it is." We got some practice knives and squared off. He took a pretty standard military knife fighting stance and I took the stance that was giving me such grief.
He looked at me and said "Are you ready?" Lesson number one...if, in a physical confrontation, an old fat man ever asks you if you are ready, you are going to learn a very unpleasant lesson. All of a sudden I saw a look come over him like a hood being drawn over his eyes. "It" had surfaced. In the blink of an eye, that fat old man was gone, replaced by something that was way, way out of my league.
He blurred.
I am not exaggerating when I say this old, bald headed fart turned into a cartoon streak to indicate speed. He moved so fast that I couldn't see what he was doing. Now with many more years of training and experience, I could probably see it; but at the time, he was there one second and gone the next. In that second, I felt myself being jerked to the side and his knife simultaneously crashing into a kill zone. I knew it was over. If this had been real, I would have been dead and there was nothing I could have done about it.
I walked away from that event deeply disturbed. Yes I was emotionally upset and hurt. Face it, my pride had been deeply stung by being spanked by an old man. In my next few altercations I was doubly ferocious, seeking to redress the injury to my pride and prove to myself that I was indeed a good fighter.

------------------------

That was when the second lesson began to creep in. The reason I had lost had nothing to do with my physical skill at all and everything to do with my intent and commitment. And that is what I had seen come over him before he proceeded to put me down so easily. See I was there to "fight," to prove something to this old man who had mocked me. He was there to be the one alive at the end of it all. To him, nothing else mattered. Because I had other agendas, I wasn't there to "get the job done." He was. And while I was busy being so wrapped up all those other issues, he got the job done before I could even react. From now on I'm just going to call those "It."

--------------------------

Wherever he is now, I owe that man my life for teaching me that most important of lessons. Because since that time, I have survived many more horrible situations and come out alive. Furthermore, I have never been put down since. Prior to that, I will admit I had been defeated in fights. But not since. That's because, from that event, I learned to quit "fighting" and instead I started going in with the attitude of "ending it now."

There is a TON of other good stuff on Marc MacYoung's website and I THOROUGHLY recommend it to anyone who is serious about survival combat. He is also a firearms instructor, holds a CHP and offers training on defensive pistol techniques, as well as the legal aspects of using deadly force. His articles also contain links within the body that will take you to his other articles or author's notes. It is going to take some time to fully explore his website so I suggest anyone wanting to delve in to find a day off, free from any distractions, and grab a couple of beers or any other drink of your choice. It is good shit and this guy truly knows what he is talking about.

That's an excellent tid bit of info. The difference of the mindset of "getting into a fight" versus "ending a problem right now."

I'm my line of work, I absolutely don't want to "get into a fight." That's dumb and looks bad to the public, and both involved parties get injured. When confronted by a problem, I want to end that problem as quickly as possible using the maximal amount of force needed as quickly as possible to end it. Both involved parties might get hurt, but not injured (hopefully but shot happens).
