Gunsmithing muzzel break question

im looking for a muzzel break for my 6.5/284. problem is i live in NY and can not have a threded barrel. im trying to find a clamp on one. theres a place Roedale persision overseas but from them after the wait were talking 400.00 us. does any one know were i can get one in the US?

Unless you are using an AR - the law does NOT say you can't have a threaded barrel. It is perfectly fine unless it is an assault weapon (by NY definition).

I have screw on brakes on almost every one of my NY weapons - completely legal.

REALLY! thanks i didnt know that. ok were is a good place in ny to have a barrel thredded? id still like to just get a clampon if possible. save shipping the gun and all that crap!

You missed the group buy on the Roedale brakes. Unless you're in a big hurry there may be another one when Pete gets his sponsorship squared away. I picked up a couple and the clamp on isn't going anywhere, even on the 300wm. The price was around 179.00 each if I'm not mistaken.

Go to the group buy section and keep track of the "roedale muzzle brake" thread. Keep in mind that prices will be based on the current exchange rates. Read the entire thread. There were some questions answered there that you may have.
