I'm looking into a muzzle brake. As I search them, they list the outside diameter. But what about the inside? How do I know it will fit over my .820" barrel?

Most muzzle breaks are threaded inside so the last 1/2" to 3/4" of your barrel will have to be turned down and threaded.

Oh ok got it. So I want to either look for a straight one, or one that tapers to near .820". Thanks!

Usually I get them oversize on the OD so I can blend it in on the lathe. If done right you shouldn't be able to tell where they join until you take it off for cleaning.
