I was just wondering what MV people get out of the same loads. Does a Gas gun have higher MV then if it was shot in a bolt?

Pretty sure most gas guns run a little lower. I would assume unlike a bolt gun a gas gun uses a small amount of its gas to cycle the bolt. That small amount of gas also is blown out of the upper receiver when it cycles the bolt. Could be wring but it makes sense.
