I've gotten tired of the all-too collapsible stock on my mws and have an A-2 kit coming in from LMT. Any instructions, tips or heads-up on the change-out. Thanks...

Didn't know they had a A2 kit for the MWS. Be interested to see what spring and buffer they sent you.
I put an A2 reciever extension and a PRS stock with a slashes Buffer and spring. Runs pretty well.

The A2 stock and buffer tube are the same on a .308 as a 5.56 , but you will need a .308 rifle length buffer (which is shorter than the 5.56) and not the same as your .308 carbine buffer. If you install it and pull the charging handle all the way back, and you can still see the bolt group in the ejection port, than you have a 5.56 buffer in there.

Thanks for the help, guys. LMT discovered that they do not carry the necessary buffer and spring. Talked to Clint at Slashes and they make a 10.5 oz buffer; and only $145 later I'm back in business. http://www.heavybuffers.com/ar10carbine.html From what I understand, this buffer will work with any tube, should reduce the recoil, which wasn't bad to start with, and move the balance back toward the stock
