I just can't seem to find a ambi-safety i like, i've gone through wilson, ed brown, and numerous others, i have heavy thumbs and they don't last. so back to single sided thumb safeties.

then just had the trigger blacked out, waiting on pics of my rail gun which got same treatment

SVI makes a really nice wide safety it you like resting your thumb. Not 100 percent if they are compatible 1911 2011 or if they make a 1911 version, but definitely worth looking into. Sharp looking firearm BTW

Joe you have great taste. I normally do not care much for front serrations, but the vertical serrations looks as good as they are functional, fantastic looking blaster.

yeah honestly i only like the old style vertical serrations although on the rogers gun the angled classic serrations go perfectly with the high power cuts we had done.

Not sure if it is just the lighting and picture but that deep black looks nice -- is that a factory regular finish or something else? Black on black looks great.

Joe also recommends Springfields to everyoine so they don't have to suffer with Colts. LOL.

lol i'm a huge 1911 guy, mars armament did the work. I just don't fall prey to the mindset of 1911 of nothing. I have glocks, hk's, sigs, etc. But my "go to" pistols are 1911's.

That is beautifully elegant in its' simplicity and function!! I think the blacked out trigger adds a nice touch. One touch I'm surprised manufacturer's don't do from factory!
