Here is my ladder test that I did to see where my accuracy node would be on my .243 Im working with right now. I read through alot of the books, read through all the sticky's in the forum. Measured my bullets, prepped everything etc etc. Well it finally came time for me to fire my shots on my ladder. I warmed up with 2 factory bullets to make sure my rifle would make hits on the target at 450yds. Well I found the hits on the 4x8 sheet of plywood. I then went and bought a roll of paper so I could see the holes easier. Cause let me tell you a .243 hit on a piece of osb plywood is almost impossible to spot.
I believe my 5,6,7 loads could be worked on more as well as 3,4. My 5,6,7, are probably going to be my better loads. These bullets right now are also .010" jammed into the lands because I was also working on my max load. I went 2gr's over the book max's but I didnt see the need to go further so I stopped the testing there. Plus the bullets being jumped might not have alot of room in the case with all the powder going in there.
