So I'm on my way home from the Bash and I have a conundrum! I won a 40% off Surefire Suppressor coupon in the raffle (thank God for the raffle cause I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn...from inside...with the doors shut).
So now, I have to decide WHICH suppressor I want!
Option 1- .338LM for my DTA (same setup the Surefire rep was rocking at the match)
Option 2- .556 MINI for my shorty POF
Option 3- Wait patiently for a 7.62 variant of the MINI to come out so I can use it on pretty much everything I own (aside from the DTA)

FML...

The mini is not mean for SBR's. Its meant to take the bark out of 14.5" and 16" rifles, and reduce flash. I have one Im waiting for approval on, when I get it Ill test it and write a review.

You think your life sucks!?
Try living in NY where you will NEVER have a shot of owning anything like a collapsible stock, SBR, a high capacity magazine let alone a sound suppressor.

I wish and pray to God I had your problem

How short of a barrel is your SBR? The mini is hearing safe on a 14.5 but probably not on anything shorter than that.

If you can wait we will be releasing some new stuff at SHOT in January that might interest you.

I would say you should ask yourself which you would use most often? You can always adapt a large suppressor to a smaller caliber, you can't go the other way.

Oh I believe I can wait for Jan...I am a patient type when its worth my while...

Oh, and Thanks to Surefire for putting up suppressors, discount coupons, and lights for the Bash!

I am with 300WSM. Get the surefire, sell it, and get an AAC or something diffrent.

Also, may want to check if you can shoot 556 through a surefire 7.62. Seen one get a baffle strike doing this. It was an older surefire.

Only things keeping me from the .338 can is the fact that it will not fit on my DTA's .308 barrel and it's kinda hard to justify $1200 for a can I'm only gonna use a few times a year.

But the few times a year, it will be priceless to have! I would go .338 if I had your problem.

I've got a suppressed .308 I nearly never use, but my 556 can gets used all the time. Get the one you are going to see benefit from most often.
