So I did a 25 yd sight in today with my savage(bear season is apon us) and went for 1\2 inch low it was close but one or two shots 1" left followed by a couple 1" right followed by a couple 1" high right. I gave 3-5 min between shots for a cold bore sight in. Gave up on perfection. I busted out my nm m1a with swfa 10x42 and went with first top mil dot for zero at 25. EVERY SHOT FOR 3 20 rd mags went where I wanted them to with some b/s lake city ammo! I can't get close to that with the savage... aren't bolt guns inheritly more accurate? why. Other than the 500$ gun vs. The 1800$ gun factor.
