I just wanted to post about my experience I have had to this point with my LMT MWS with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50 mounted with the NF unimount on it.

I set up my rifle intially and zeroed it. I went hunting and dropped a small doe, but wasn't pleased with where my scope was set up on the rail. After the hunt, I moved the mount back a couple of slots to get it where I liked it.

I didn't have time to re-zero my rifle before my next hunt with the family of a fallen Georgia State Patrol Trooper in South Georgia on a plantation. I trusted the tolerances of LMT's and NF's products. During day 2 of the hunt, I shot and dropped a deer. This was actually a really close shot (inside 25 yards) so I really couldn't say at this point if my setup had the same zero as I had before.

On the way out from this hunt, I was driving a golf cart while attempting to hold the deer on it as well as my rifle while driving through a cotton field which wild hogs had torn up beyond belief. It was a really rough ride out of there and my scope got banged around pretty bad, to the point it banged off one of the metal posts on the golf cart and took a gouge out of the elevation turret on my scope. (Lesson Learned) I was sick when I got back to camp and realized I damaged my scope turret.

I went out 2 days later to put a 5 round group through my gun, just knowing that I had all kinds of lost my zero on my scope. I was floored when I was done and realized my group spot on. With all that said, I have heard all the stories about how tough both LMT and Nightforce equipment is, but to see it first hand really gives me confidence that when zombies invade and my rifle gets banged around, I will be good to go.

P.S. I called NF and told them about what I did to my turret and how pleased I was with their equipment. They are nice enough to be sending me one free of charge in the mail. The hunt will be on Southern Woods and Water Television at a later date when the owner of the company recovers from injuries sustained from a 25 foot fall from a treestand. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.
