My new GAP-10 and SS5-20

Got the gun and scope last week and went to the range this morning. Disclaimer: I am an extreme novice shooter!

20", Titan brake, PRS stock, Aadmount, SS5-20HD scope

I am extremely impressed with the rifle. The trigger was absolutely phenomenal. I am used to stock mil triggers on my AR15s and this thing was so crisp. There were more than a few shots where I was very surprised when the gun went off!

The top right portion of the target has my 5 shop groups. The first 3 were within about .75" and I really dorked up the last two shots. I was shooting from the bench with just the bipod for support. All shots were from 100 yards and the little guy below my 5 shot group was me transitioning from 50yards to 100 yards. Ammo used was 175gr gold medal.

Now I need to get out to the 200-600yard portion of my range. I think I'll look for some nice AR500 next weekend and start plinking some steel.

Looks good. I really like the Aadmount, just wish it came in a lower height version.

How is your cheek weld with the scope being that high? I see that your PRS looks about maxed out. The top rail on the GAP-10 is higher than a standard rail from the start is why I'm asking, and the Aadmount is one of the tallest out there.

Smooth trigger and good follow through and those groups will tighten up. Getting on your belly will help too.

The rifle shares a closet with the wifes shoe collection. Gonna invest in a manly safe here soon!

The cheek weld is actually a little low when I'm prone. I'm going to throw a pad or something else on the stock and I think it'll be perfect.

Or a mount that is not quite so tall...

Looks like there is room between the objective and rail...

You didn't get the one piece badger mount that came with the rifle? I recieved my rifle last week and it came with it.

It would be a lot lower than the one you are using and give a better cheek weld.
