I like the stock alot with it's pistol grip design, it's pretty neat looking and it also soaks up some of the recoil.

I just got the NightForce on it yesterday so I should have some groups to show with in the week.

NICE, how long is that barrel? What are your loads for it? I have a HOWA too, it's as accurate as GAP, and Savages at the range.

I would like to have the retractable ballistic chart, but Leupold makes them only for 1" or 30 mm tubes and I have a 34mm tube. Does anybody know where I could get one? Thanks in advance

It's a 20" And i've shot some 168 SMK and plan to shoot the 175gr SMK and start hand loading with a friend that loads.

Finally got a chance to get some loads down the tube and get it on paper and semi zeroed. Here's a couple groups with two types of Factory loads I had here.

Fiocchi 175gr SMK Factory loads

Federal Gold 168gr SMK Factory loads

After i finish up the last of these I have 200 175gr SMK bullets,Lapua brass and some Varget and R15 powder to find me a good combo with.

Some hand loads for that gun, a trigger tuning, and maybe a new crown (if it is even needed) would be all you need for an accurate shooter. Nice.

Not bad, now go fill out your profile, and get back to us once you shoot some groups (a picture of a 3 shot group shows nothing-lets see a few 5 shot groups on one target or if it must be one group, try dropping ten rounds on it).

Oh I will, Sorry my initial backyard range report didn't meet your requirments. Im waiting on my 175gr SMK's to get here so I can work up two sets of ladder test to find out what this barrel likes.

Not my requirements.

The Howa action should do quite well, I'm not convinced the Axiom stock does anything to provide a more stable platform through the recoil impulse. I'm sure skim beding it can't hurt.

When you get your 175's in realize that sometimes they don't give great groups at 100 but hold tighter at distance than some others. The Howa's 1:10 should like them. 155 Senars would also be a great choice.

There's lots of good loads for Varget and RL15 in the Reloading Forum's Reloading Depot.
