Cannot wait to shoot this thing.
300 PRC wirh Josh’s Rock creek 26” barrel in a 7twist, Big Horn TL3 action sitting on a Cadex Field Competition chassis.
ATACR F1 with a 30 MOA spuhr.
planning on shooting the 241 solids. Except I have to have a company reload for me since I’m useless in that department

I can help with the loading of 241 Seneca monolithic bullets. Just need projectiles and OAL that is 20 thousands off lands from Josh.

Excellent thank you. I just received the OAL guage and dummy round in the mail, I’ll get the measurements soon. I have 100 of Josh’s solids and magically scored 200 pieces of Hornady brass that will be in my mailbox in a couple days here at home. Where’s the best place to reach out to you? Your website? Or on here?

Any update on the performance of the 241 gn Seneca bullet? Would love to see some drop data at 1000 yards and 1500 yards! 😊

Thinking of getting a 30 cal barrel made with a 7 twist to shoot the super heavies. Probably 300 PRC for now to fit in my short action MPA Curtis.

A 300 Norma would be better, but that budget item has to wait for next year.

Not yet. Few more weeks till I get the load developed back in my hands. I’ll stay in touch.

Also. What in receiving today from them is I think 7 three round strings to test. So I will at least be able to report muzzle velocities on those.

Great news! Very curious what you find out.

Have been holding off on ordering a second barrel for my MPA switchlug rifle, thinking maybe 190 Bergers from a 7 SAUM or a 300 WSM with a very fast 6.8 twist rate so it can stabilize the solid copper 241 PVA projectile... and if the G7 is anywhere above 0.49 i am doing it...

Take your wife out three nights in a row!

Btw a trick that Bryan Litz used before is to put up two (thin) paper targets, one directly in front of the other, a few hundred yards apart, so you puch a hole at 100 and another hole at say 400 with the same shot. Loss of speed from passing through the first paper target is minimal, as long as you use thin paper.

Also: If you use colored marker pens and color in the bullet, you will be able to see which bullet made which hole afterwards. Helps to figure out drop data for different powder loads, and nail down positive compensation at distance.

Just an idea, NOT trying to give you “work”!!

Dude. That’s awesome. However I can only go to 300 near me and it’s not really flat land. Sort of but not totally.
i actually could use some serious advice on what I should be looking for during low development I know it’s not all about just tight groups but what should I prioritize? SD/ES? I do have a Magnettospeed V3 however I’ve never had to do this stuff before and don’t wanna fuck it up

So I had unknown munitions load the Seneca 241’s for me. I tested and chrono’d 7 strings of 3 and focused on lowest SD, here is what I came up with. Once I confirm the correct charge than we will work on seating depth, I’m no where near pressure signs, I guess is should just focus on Lowest SD followed by adjusting seating depth to tighten groups and call it a day?

Sorry that wasn’t all organized real well, the 2 lowest SD’s are the pictures that have the Magnettospeed screen in. And the one group looks like it’s only 2 holes when it’s actually 3 holes.
Also, here’s the data for all the strings if you can read this sheet.

Well, from an ES/SD perspective, the 82.1 gn load looks really good, for all the strings. i think you have your confirmation of where ES is best. As long as there are no pressure signs, you could go on to seating depth optimization. Or are you getting a barrel tuner installed next?

I’m going to have Unknown Munitions adjust seating depths to tighten groups , if I need a tuner after that I won’t hesitate to do

Have now received my 300 WSM brass from Nosler, and the 241 gn Seneca bullets from PVA so i can build a dummy round.

The loaded round is 3.60” long:

Still wondering if i should rather pick 300 PRC. Of course a 300 Norma would probably be ideal, but that requires a new 338LM action/rifle.

Ask Josh at PVA between the PRC and the WSM, he designed those 241’s and I am pretty sure he shoots a WSM he’s in here somewhere. I’ll try to tag him.
