Shane Clancy is the smith, it's heavy! I'll have to weigh it tomorrow, she's a pig!

Re: My New Stick

Do yourself a favor and move that scope forward now, before you have scope eye. This is especially true if you're going to shoot prone.

Re: My New Stick

The scope is miles away from my eye, shooting a braked .308.... prone = no problems.

Re: My New Stick

Well perhaps my shooting style inches up on the rifle a lot more, but mine had to go forward quite a bit.

Re: My New Stick

Keep in mind I have all my spacers so it's a long LOP.

Re: My New Stick

Thanks 7,

you mean apart from it not using the A4!

Update with Range Report:

Shot this @ 500m a few days ago:

I stuffed the 5th shot and am surprised it made paper at all

I also shot this 4 shot group @ 100m which leads me to a question:

Is there a procedure (cleaning) that ensures the cold bore shot will group with the subsequent shots?

For those interested the load is:

155 gr Lapua Scenar
47 gr AR2208
Lapua Brass
Fed 210 match primer
.005 "jump" to lands

This load is safe in my rifle, do not attempt it without working up and checking for pressure signs.
