My new stick

I just recieved my new budget stick yesterday.

Remmy 700 LA
1 piece PTG bolt with the integral handle and a thread on bolt knob
Badger 0.312 Maximized recoil lug
Polished feed ramps
trued/lapped/blueprinted/etc.
Old style Rem 700 Flatback trigger
EGW 20 MOA base
28" Shilen 9tw #7S contour, threaded 5/8-24 with an RWS brake
Chambered in 7/300 wsm (7BAT)
HS Precision stock

I got some rough loads worked up to day and got it sighted in.

I managed to shoot a .746 3 shot group @ 100yds just to try things out using 180 bergers and IMR 4350 with CCI benchrest primers. SO if I understand things right take .746-.284=.462. I couldn't get my pic off my phone to load it. Oh well.

I think with a little fine tuning and me learning to shoot better she'll be an easy .5 moa or less rifle.

Forgot to mention its a Quickclip 7 rd mag system. Next on the list is a suppressor and new stock.

Well its kinda long story. To give you the short of it. I was trying to get a 7mm wsm from the sale forum. But it sold by the time I got my funds together.

So a gentleman contacted me through a PM saying he was building a rifle for a guy and the guy couldn't pay for the thing and ask if I would be interested in it once it was finished. So we worked out a price and specs on the finished rig as you see it.

So thats the nut shell version.

I like it. I am a fan of the long barrel for some strainge reason. I just got done building my custom and had it finished at 27" and with the break it measures 29".

How is the accuracy?

Still load testing for it. I hope to do some good loading and shooting over this upcoming weekend. With a rough load I managed a 3 shot group of .746 initial group-.284=.462 providing I'm figuring that right.

I like the caliber choice and the longer barrel selection. That should reach out there pretty well.

Yeah I'm hoping to get some loads together and stretch her legs a little.

Some people questioned the longer barrel but I'm like furtaker for whatever reason I do kinda like the longer barrels. The builder ask me if I wanted him to cut the barrel down but I just went ahead and took it at the 28".
