its homegrown. im selling this one so i can make another version that will fit in my sedan. ive already have a few request to custom make these for people.

i bought the jogging baby stroller off a mom on craigslist. took it to my welder for 3 hours and reinforced the middle part of the stroller and added some M60/Barrett style flanges to it.

Re: My tactical gun cart

I like .22's and all, but 6 of them?

I would hate to see that thing topple over. Just how sturdy is it with the weight so high on it?

Re: My tactical gun cart

i use one of these, but my rifles arent locked into their own little rack all nicey neatie, bet i could get 20 .22's in mine

I don't understand why you would build a .22LR M82. How much did that cost to put together and...why?

1 is an AR15 other 5 are .22's

its pretty sturdy. i dont plan on running around with this thing. i did test this going uphill/downhill on rugged sand and it was fine. just had to go slow to make sure it didnt tip over.

thats why i had the middle reinforced to prevent flexing.

$350 for the stock. why not? this is the closest thing i can get to the real one and have fun shooting it at the pistol range. its just for plinking and its accurate.

Well there ya go lol It would be entertaining to pull it out on the pistol range and see everyone's reaction when it just makes a pop sound instead of clearing their benches with back blast lol

You should get into kit cars too. Nothing says awesome like a 100 horsepower VW powered Ferarri lookalike (lookalike from a few hundred yards).

bingo. its just for my entertainment and to share with other shooters that want to feel/handle a clone. reactions are awesome especially the range officers. even had the owner ask me to call her so she can bring in her 8 year old son to shoot my .22 conversions.

Nice AR without a rear sight. Way to stick a riser on the rail, then a riser on the stock to compensate.

So, what makes this cart "tactical"?

Re: My tactical gun cart

All you're missing now is a Paladin converted to .22lr.

Actually you should chamber it in .22 mag because the real one is in fact a cannon.

Im just kidding. Not my thing but whatever floats your boat.

cant wait to try the 100 yard.

Roger that. I just don't get the whole dress up thing, but that's just me. I stifle my initial reaction of slight embarrassment for those that do this and roll on. IF the dress up kit improved performance or gave improved ergonomics that a traditional stock doesn't provide, then this has some validity.

Re: My tactical gun cart

Hey, the rifles are pretty sweet. And I've seen the baby stroller idea used for 3gun match and USAMU style marksmanship matches also.

Im not sure why people are giving you so much shit, but if you enjoy it, that's what counts. I admit I wouldn't do something like that, but a M82 .22 has a pretty cool awe effect. Rock on!

Re: My tactical gun cart

thanks.

yes i do enjoy it and the people at the range enjoy it because its something they dont see everyday. even the dads that bring their kids get a kick out of it and record their kids shooting my .22 conversions.

I dont know. its hard to tell whos sarcastic or not without those emoticons.

I've already been called gay twice. (sig worthy? hehe)

I just reported it to the mods. Lets see if they actually do something about.

Cool kits. I set up my guns the way I like for me. It looks like you do the same. Thanks for sharing. Any firearm that may get someone who is not intrested in shooting sports intrested is good with me.Do you build your kits or is there a place to buy something like that?

thanks. yea once when i buy a .22, i throw the sporting stock away since its not my thing. i prefer the more modern look.

Don't you think you would attract A LOT more people by letting them fire a REAL .50BMG?

Are you scared of recoil or something?

Re: My tactical gun cart

Shoot what you want and like what you shoot. Who cares what all the rest say. Yea you could get a real Cheytac, but how much does it cost to feed? People are always talking about how a little .22 makes a great trainer. well there you go. now you have trainers that have the ergos of a number of different popular weapon systems.

Personally I would kill for that cheytac... The real thing is my dream, but that .22 conversion would be fun as hell to shoot.

Props to you Defcon.

i already attract plenty of people with these inexpensive conversions. i get a kick when i overhear the 5-10 year olds asking their dads if they can shoot my guns. even the serious shooters out here in california and in nevada are just dumbfounded to even see these in a .22.

not scared of recoil.

im scared of the price tag and ammo. also its illegal in California for a real .50 BMG.

4 cents a round or $4-$5 a round? ill take 4 cents around all day long at the range.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on there son. Your range has a paved parking lot? WTF?!?

Re: My tactical gun cart

ok i'm setting myself up to be flamed, but....

i'm under the impression that these rifles are pretty damn cool. maybe in "bulk" a bit mall ninjaish appearing, but hey why not?

the cart is a neat way to get them from here to there, and actually not a bad idea, adding value and tossing out an idea that may help others that don't want to carry their stuff back and forth multiple times.

for the rifles and the "dear god why" responses, what's the difference between this stuff and spending $3,000 to have a rem 700 shoot 1/2" better at 500 y when a TRG would be the better way to go?

what's the difference between this concept and getting a rifle cerakoted multicam, with no intention on that rifle hitting the bush or being in a situation that actually dictates being camoed?

best thing that 50.00 for a brick of decent ammo gives you 500 rounds of trigger time, rather than 20 rounds of Hornady .308 good stuff.

i get more reaction and curiousity out of my CZ455 in AICS airsoft folder than the actual .308 at the range w/ the same feel, almost the same weight, as the "real one" with more creature comforts and ergonomics than any replacement stock available for the same price.

hitting the airsoft boneyards, you may be able to pick up one of defcon's frames for under 200.00, compared to a Boyd tacticool and the like that you'll need BM and hardware, jacking the price up to 200.00 ish anyhow. No length of pull adjustments, cheek pieces, etc. like the defcon's frames has, and nice to have those creature comforts on a rifle you shoot alot of, whether rim or center fire.

i probably wouldn't invest the $ in a working airsoft model just for the stock, as they are actually pricey enough to justify a Anschutz with a good stock in the end, but to each his own.

on top of it many of the frames have aluminum bedding blocks that actually make them more solid than most factory or replacement stocks, and the ergonomics are that of "the real thing"

what about all these AR15 / SCAR .22lrs wanna be look alikes out there? selling like hot cakes and used alot for training purposes. rather would have the M14 SAGE EBR .22 conversion in the cart.

so he's got his hobby, who the hell cares, it's his thing and apparantly good at it.

from the pictures it appears he's doing better or just as good work than some of your guy's gunsmiths. imagine what he'll be able to do to a "real gun" while cutting his teeth on these.

how many of you guys have, can get a hold of, or afford a real 427 Cobra? didn't think so. how many can get a Cobra kit and still have the "same effect" running down for ice cream on saturday night? many more i tend to believe and no different than a .22 barret or cheytac.

it either floats your boat or not, toss in an opinion if you must, no need to be getting nasty on him. most of his posts are non mall ninjaish, kept in the rimfire section and not shoved down anyone's throat in any other section. certainly alot less annoying than many that are allowed free range throughout the whole site spreading BS, no value, and still can't bring themselves to use the search function to answer for themselves the simplest of questions.

after all cloverleafing centerfire rounds gets old after awhile, and rimfires actually become a challenge whether it's 25Y or 250 Y. besides if half of the folks here are half of what they claim to be, they should already have most of the topics discussed indelibly engrained into their brains from the field or training - so what's with all the discussion unless it's a new equipment?

someone added the "for the serious tactical marksman" snip a page or two back, then WTF does talking about baseball, football, knives, enlarged prostates, non shooting relate movies, books, and tv shows have to do with marksmanship? at least the .22 conversions go "bang" there's gun powder involved, and more applicable.

most folks don't like fat hairy chicks either, has nothing to do with marksmanship (other than trying to hit the wet spot) yet those guys are able to shit on a guy with a novel, yet funtional idea. (though those guys posts are pretty darn funny)

perhaps the "don't attack new members rule" should also apply to folks that unwarrantedly get their balls busted, even without them leaving their swim lane. don't know if defcon is a punk kid or an old fart but never typed in a word that was mall ninjaish or goofy.

rant is over, deoppresso liber

let the flaming begin, my final input / opinion on the subject and the unwarranted attacks, flamers entertain yourselves and moderators please re-read before you consider dropping the hammer on me.....
