Got my Tempest on Thursday and went down to a buddies shop to borrow his lathe. Got all set up and went to work.
This is my 4th barrel I've done. I am learning more each time I do it. If you guys have any advice please let me know!

Pretty darn simple man. Make sure you measure the face of the action to the bolt nose. I've heard they can be a little inconstant. My mine dead nuts .950". I've heard of a couple reputable smiths having to cut a very slight bolt nose recess. Good luck man, hope it turns out well!

Did you use the GA wrench? What torque?

I have a print from for the barrel. Thanks for the heads up though, i'll check those dimensions.

I didn't use the GA wrench and didn't torque to a certain spec. I threw the barrel in a vice and made two triangular pieces of wood that fit around the action and recoil lug then used a large wrench to make sure the barrel was secured on the shoulder.
I am going to borrow a buddies AI wrench here soon and actually torque it on. Probably go to ~75 ft lbs I'm guessing would be plenty.
