hehehehehe,,, I don't like the guy but he is winning and winning. wait til the wage workers see what they get in their checks, will be more than I got. If he was smart he would get rid of the withholding and payroll tax and have employers just pay that sum to employees and then have employees pay their real full up taxes out of that money, just like it was all income tax. Once the population seen how much the government actually charges a business to hire and employ someone you would never see a dem or a repub elected again.

Hillary is pissed. Because if she won you would have bought her one. :)

That labor rate is a burden isn’t it? The majority of the population will never sign the front of a paycheck, and will never seek out the details, so I think we’re stuck with R&D for the foreseeable future.

I've long said that if our town issued its property tax bills two weeks before Town Meeting Day.... we'd have lower property taxes overnight. But Town Meeting Day is on March 5th. And Property Taxes are issued.... in mid-July. Coincidence? I don't think so.

I'd love to see Town Meeting day with every resident walking in with their new tax bills and utterly ripping apart the stupid spending! Like a $6 million skating rink... because one town council person had wanted to be an Olympic Skater.... and thought only a $6m rink would provide those oppirtunities for her kids. We had a perfect rink. Built by a guy who DONATED it in the 1970s. Old farmer who gave it to the kids of the town when he died. Real arena. Benches, roof, ice-making.... But that wasn't good enough. Got torn down to build a $6 million albatross... that all the lefty nattering classes wanted for snob value.

Keep in mind, we are a town of 2500. That's $2500 for every man, woman and chiled in town. We need a $6m rink.... why? If it was that important, Ms. Olympic skater failure... could have donated it. She has the trust fund.... enough to spend $30K a plate going to Obama fundraisers. We'd even have put the bitch's name on it!

THIS is what is wrong with spending... Her crumbs are our huge tax bills!

Cheers,

Sirhr

And I thought we were building a wall to keep the Beamers out!

Just my envy talking, Jerry. I'd love a new GS. May it take you on many adventures and bring you home in one piece.

I don't have the time for serious adventure at the moment. Getting by just fine with my KLR and 1250 Bandit.

AJ, I do an exercise every so often where I take the year end P&L and convert all the expenses to percentages of revenue. The I break all the employees into teams of two. I give them 100 pennies and a sheet of paper with squares on it. One square is much bigger and I ask them to label it profit.

Then I ask the teams to put what they think we made as profit on every dollar into the profit square. There are some folks who really think we make 50% or more profit.

The I start going down the expenses and have them put pennies into the other squares based on the percentage on the P&L. It is hilarious when they run out of money and have to take from their profit. Most folks can't believe that I match their FICA (out of profits).

At the very end, I introduce myself as their long lost uncle Sam and I tell them I'm going to take half of the pennies they have left.

It is amazing how much they appreciate their profit sharing checks and 401(k) discretionary match after that.

It is a fun exercise to watch.

If they were given that money then made to pay it to the gov, they would believe it and they would not be voting these socialist douches into office.

Withholding is Milton Friedman's fault, sad but true

that's kind of the idea. then the government would have a choice, stop spending without consent or arrest the majority of the population.

Dakar much? Nothing like a GS....

This was motorcycling in Normandy in 2016... I was posting this trip on the Scout Hide if anyone remembers. Stumbled on this guy on a road, abandoned in Normandy. Those French sure don't clean up good....

Nothing like a BMW GS for dirt roads and above-the-Arctic Circle travel.

Anyone who wants to get their wanderlust turned up to 11 should watch Ewan McGregor and Charlie Boorman do Long way 'Round and Long way Down. Free on Youtube. Unreal trips! The Road of Bones trip was amazing.

Cheers,

Sirhr

That would be a helluva time and a "BEAUTIFUL" ride. I appreciate the thought on that ole wise one, but I'm afraid my riding days are behind me. Especially loooooong rides. I envy the shit outta you guys that can still do it more than you know. Hell, I haven't even taken my boat out for so damn long now I might as well sell it. Back is fuuuuuuuuucked. The offer means the world to me though. Thank you.

Now then, For McMurray? What is the significance of that? Just wanna see what's left after the fires or something else? Curious. Beautiful as hell for sure, but it's been ravaged pretty good as we understand.

.

12 inches of suspension travel means that it's like sitting in a Barca-lounger....

And it's not like your knees are gone from jumping.

Or are you afraid that the motorcycles are powered by propane?

Cheers,

Sirhr

lol I'm a little jumpy. It's why I don't "LIVE" like I use to on the water. I know what happens and for how many days later. It's not worth it anymore. Haven't stopped living, just stopped making unwise decisions, except for the gawd damn propane bottle, that cause me lost time. And no, I'm not going under the knife. I'm not having Lasik or Back surgery unless there is NO other option. :cautious:

After I do the Translab... I want to do Lincoln Highway... up into Alaska and Yukon

Though I have been told by many people who have ridden Alaska... do it on a rental bike. Ride up there on your own machine. Then take a rental up to the tough spots. Because Alaska and Yukon's far-reaches destroy bikes.

I've not done it... but a number of friends whose opinions I respect... have. And passed on this advice.

I'm with you for Alaska/Yukon in 2020 Army!

Cheers,

Sihrr

can do that too, I done alaska on a harley, and it was,,well,,,, hehehhehehehehhehehe, I don't want to scare you but I prefer to do it on a GS or a KTM 450/500 vs a harley. Lost one rider dead in alaska on my race (challenge), and about 30 or 40 hospitalized , one close buddy almost dead and 4 months in intensive care, in Anchorage after riding whole event with pins in hand leg and ankle from earlier accident a week before event, infection set in after a crash in Montana , he still finished the challenge with bike duct taped together and leg duct taped to bike but dam it was a destructive four thousand miles across canada and alaska on those big bikes.

1J I get the surgery , I had it done 10 years ago, its like being born again, don't lose out on life man, you will regret it on your death bed, get the frikken op and come join us. Doing the Ak ride is an almost religious experience. It will bring tears to your eyes with just the beauty you will see and make you realize how small man really is and how big god is.

Hoka Hey...

Means 'It's a good day to die." Which is not exactly what I am looking for on a vacation. But I get the toughness of the endurance rally. Like the Dakar...

Nothing like motorcycling America. I've done all but, I think, 7 states.

Some Snipers Hide motorcycle tourism seems like something we need to do. Wonder if we can bring some rifles and do some steel stages while riding?

Cheers,

Sirhr

ha that's funny, I wont do that HHC again, but it was worth doing, and I just like riding these days, we have a beautiful continent, the one south is beautiful too. Prob with rifles and riding to Ak is canada, can do a rifle but takes 6 months for paper and you might have to prove a competition or hunting to get the permit.

Yeah I made a few changes to my taxes this year after having a child, but I'm $167 better for every pay check not counting the $5,800 for my return! My wife is now letting me save for a PMii.
