Hey everyone,

I recently picked up the new **Nautilus Gen 2 1x30 red dot optic (https://vector2007.com/products/scrd-26ii-nautilus-1x30-red-dot-sight-1?_pos=2&_sid=2b9b7f327&_ss=r) and wanted to share my first impressions after some initial range time.

**What I like so far:**
- **Smooth zoom and reticle response:** The magnification ring is firm but fluid, and the reticle stays crisp even under recoil.
- **Excellent daylight clarity:** The image is bright and high-contrast, making it easy to pick up targets quickly.
- **Balance and weight:** Despite the 30× top end, the scope feels surprisingly compact and well-balanced, even on lighter barrels.

**Things I’ve noticed:**
- There’s a brief moment after recoil before the image fully settles at high magnification — could just be a quirk of the optic’s design.
- At max power, there’s a hint of edge distortion, nothing major but worth noting for precision shooters.

**Testing so far:**
- Tried it in bright midday sun and during low light — both performed well, with the illumination making a real difference at dusk.
- Planning to run it through some longer sessions and maybe a competition setup to see how it holds up under extended use. also i have noticed that during adjustment (up an low) you should be more carful not to damage contacts which are mounted on iternal tube.

**Overall:**
It’s shaping up to be a solid performer — versatile, clear, and user-friendly. I’m curious to hear from anyone else who’s running the Gen 2 1–30, especially if you’ve compared it to the Gen 1 or other high-magnification LPVOs.
