NAZGULX .300 PRC Build

Hey all!

Decided to get back into shooting after a 20 year hiatus. Grew up hunting and shooting thousands of rounds of various shot per year (Pellet, 7mm, .300win, 12g) and really miss the math and physics behind pulling off a great shot.

That said, I am doing an off the cuff, budget .300 PRC build to get the ball rolling in the right direction.

The overall goal is to get used to dialing wind, drop, etc and get good enough to do mile shots without ballistics apps. I do plan on running some custom environmental sensors, but nothing that calculates for me.

Build as it sits right now:

-Howa .300PRC heavy barreled action
-MDT ESS Chassis
-MDT Premier Vertical Grip
-SRS Ti-Pro 5 Self Timing Brake
-Arken EP5 5-25x56 (30 MOA Mount)
-Arken one piece scope mount (0 MOA)
-UTG Overbore Bipod

Magwell is currently being machined to accept my MDT CIP magazine.

Should be taking her out for a maiden voyage here in about 3 weeks.

Currently have about 140 rounds down the pipe and love this thing. I have been successful at clearing my local 1000 yard range, from 400 to 700 and broke the 6" target at 400 yards.

Since I am never happy, the following upgrades have been completed since the start this thread:

-MDT Elite Vertical Grip
-ARC M-Brace 1-piece Scope mount
-Bag Bullet Rear Bag rider
-Howa HACT custom trigger job - did this myself.
-Black Canyon completed machining of the ESS Chassis magwell, so it accepts the 3.85" CIP length mag now. Works flawlessly. (Shout out Fritz)

I will be consistently selling the once fired brass for this if anyone is interested.

I did this during installation and checked it against 2 other levels. Dead on. Perhaps you got a bad example?

I did for sure, not sure how common it is though. I have a send it level installed, so didn't really need it anyway.

Made a couple new purchases that the wife isn't going to be happy about, haha.

Got rid of the Arken in favor of a Tangent Theta TT525P with the Gen3xr Reticle and the AIF locking turrets. This things fucks!

Added the ARC LRF Bridge with double picatinny to the M-Brace Scope mount. Not sure I will ever put a Laser Rangefinder in there... purchased it more because it gives a small level of protection to the tangent, it adds weight and it just looks cool. Also picked up an MDT Send It Level, which I will probably hang off the side if the LRF Bridge.

Also got rid of the UTG Overbore Bipod and grabbed and Accutac FC-4 with Ski Feet.

Accutac and Send it aren't here yet, so pictures to come on those.

I was skeptical about Accu-Tac, but I was wrong. This thing is a tank and absolutely worth the coin. Ski feet kick ass too!
