Introduction to our shooting discipline here at Sac Valley Shooting Center.
Prone and positional shooting tips and techniques.
How to run your rifle and optics.
Data Development – gathering actual data for your rifle and load.
Trigger Time – You will shoot from 200 to 1,000 yards. You will have an experienced coach on the firing line to help you with ballistics, wind calls, and getting DOPE out to 1,000 yards or as far as your equipment will allow you to safely shoot.
If time permits we will cover rifles, caliber choice, and equipment.

    Required Equipment
Rifle chambered in 6 mm up to .338 caliber.
Tactical rifle scope with ranging reticle and elevation knobs.
    70 rounds of ammunition.
Empty Chamber Indicator Flag (you can pick one up during registration for $1.00).
    Rifle Sling.
A backpack or shooting bag to carry all your kit in.
Bipod or pack to shoot from.
Rear rest or sand sock is strongly recommended.
    Note taking gear.
Tools to run your rifle and optic.
    Sun block.
Eye and ear protection is mandatory.
    Elbow pads are recommended.
Dress for the weather, we will shoot rain or shine. Long pants recommended, the ground can get hot.
We will have water available on the firing line and in the target pits.
You may want to bring snacks that you can eat on the go. Lunch will be provided.
Please have your rifle zeroed at 100 yards. All of our drop data is based on a 100 yard zero.
We walk the entire range for all distances, including a return to the target pits from the 1,000 yard line.
Make sure your gear is mobile. Practice setup and re-packing of your gear beforehand. Things move fast as we go from one line to the next and you need to be ready to move.
