So I'm reloading for an AR-15 and an AR-10. Thought I had my setup all done and everything I need but the this topic came up and I've tried to do some research and now I'm unsure. Both guns are gas-pistons (Hogan AR-15 and REPR), I don't know if that matters, and will be using primarily Lapua brass and Sierra MatchKings. Both sizing dies are Redding Type S Match F/L bushing dies. During my research I found that Redding says .001" and everyone else says .002" (subtracting from the diameter of a loaded round). My brass and bullets loaded measured .3380" for .308 and .2495" for .223 so I ordered bushings .336, .337, .246, and .247. Now I am hearing I should have much more neck tension than those will give me (cause it's going in AR's). Can someone who has experience in sizing bushing for AR's please give me some advice before I order even more bushings? Thanks in advance

Measure the outside of your brass FL sized, than the outside of one with the bulle in it and subtract the two. I use .004" and my 6.5 grendel still moves when being chamered. So I account on that move and did my seating depth ladder test from the magazine. (Bullet moved .003")
