Rifle Scopes Need 20 MOA one piece base for a Savage short

I need a good 20 MOA one piece base for a Savage short action rifle.

Any recommendations?

Try EGW.
They make them for both models.

Agreed. I have a Warne 1 piece and 2-piece, and a new EGW HD steel mount 20MOA. The EGW is a work or art compared to the Warne. Its machined perfectly and has a really nice finish.

EGW's are fine. i think the HD ones are steel for $20 more? and there is ferrel, seekins and badger possibly.

Not to hijack this thread but does anyone know who makes a 20moa base for a savage long action(flat rear)? Seems like everyone makes a short action base, and most make a long action base but usually in round back.

I'm pretty sure that EGW already makes the mount you need or can make it if you call them.

Other great brands to look for are Ken Ferrel and Murphy.

There are two types of EGW HD bases. One is 7075 aluminum (about $20 bucks more like you said) and another one made of hardened steel. Normally around $100 for the HD Steel one.

Check out the Weaver 20moa base. I just got one for a 700SA and its very nice, aluminum too to keep weight down, cheaper than the EGW and millets also. I know they make one for savage also. $34.99 on opticsplanet
