I have an Empire barreled Mauser action with a now broken bolt stop.

I need to find a gunsmith that can fabricate a replacement.

If you know the Empire Rifle story, you know a factory replacement is impossible.

I'd also like to fit a 1913 rail in place of the proprietary Empire scope mounts.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations.

What did empire do differently than Mauser on the bolt stop? If it takes a standard 98 bolt stop I probably have several old military units in a parts bin somewhere. If it will work I will be happy to send you one.

Does it look similar to this?

Here are some pictures

It is not standard Mauser:

And here is the scope base:

I can not get the pin driven out to see the inside of the stop, I'd say it is going to have to be drilled out.

Thanks,
Bill

Re: Here are some pictures

I don't mean to be an ass, so please forgive me up front but 2 things on the pin:

1) You sure it's not threaded in place?
2) If it's not threaded in there, is it a tapered pin like the FSB .mil pins on AR/M4 platforms?
