Need ammo advice

Re: Need ammo advice

Well we cant really tell you what is best because you have to figure it out on your own, concentrate at what your rifle likes at 100 yds and the gradually move up in range. U just can start out at600. This is a delicate procedure in determing balistics. Bullet weight, powder, cassing and primar play a major role so u might end up making your ammunition to suit your rifle.

Semis or bolts, most rifles show preference for one type of bullet or another. One of my rifles won't shoot anything that is made by Lapua well. You just have to figure out what your rifle likes. The bullet itself is more than capable of reaching out to 1000 yards. The Sierra 155s and 175s are also more than capable.

In my limited experience, the 168s fall on their face just past about 600 yards. It is, however, a nice, soft shooting round with good accuracy within its capabilities.

Agree with PASNIPER. 175 Sierra and 178 AMAX shoot one hole groups at 100 yrds from my LBC 18" Monolith and have no trouble getting to 1k. Almost no change in 0 one to another on my rifle which is pretty cool. Of course your rifle may not like these; you'll have to try them and see
