Rifle Scopes Need feedback on short 3-18ish for Ar10

I am looking at dmrII, Leupold mk5, xtr3, and whatever else that is shortish and in the 3-18ish range. 1000-1500$ For a sp10.

My particular question is will any of these scopes be able to resolve 6.5/.30 cal bullet impact on white painted steel at 1000k?At max power?

Could be wrong but I think you are gonna have a hard time seeing 30 cal hits at 1k with a sub $1500 18x scope. At 1000k you won’t even see the target.

For comparison sake I have a Steiner military 4-16 and on 16 I can see and differentiate 6.5 from .30 impacts at 1000. Usually

For clarification, 1000k is like almost 59 miles.

It's a good read that I think will help you reach a decision.

There is a NIB 18x XTR3 in the Sale section for $1300. He bought 2 and is keeping one. That's a steal.
