Can anyone shed some light? I came into a chassis system and am now looking to build that into a rifle (backwards, I know). I wanted to go the custom route, but for my intentions, that’s not the best option money wise.
So Im looking at the following options:
1) 700 SPS Tactical 16.5”- straight drop in
2) 700P- Sell HS stock, chop barrel to 17”
3) 700 5R Mil-spec (20”)- sell stock
Does anyone know if the stock on the 5R is HS or just a Remington stock w/ aluminum bedding? Approximate value? Is the barreled action of the 700P any different than the SPS Tactical (in regards to trigger & rifling- length and threaded barrel is obvious)? It is parkerized correct?
