Hey guys, I have a buddy that is having me help him upgrade his optics and we would like to install a full length rail on this rifle. Having a tough time figuring out what model it is and a scope base to go with it. Any help would be appreciated.

Can always count on the hide to either be extremely helpful or to dogpile on you or both. I hunt with a Parker Hale in .308 every year in Africa. They're pretty numerous over there. Haven't seen many here. If you put a rail on it it won't lift the scope much from where it's at, the existing mounts are pretty tall. That said, the existing cheek piece seems a little low for an optics equipped rifle but just right for using those irons. Might want to tell your buddy to grab up a bit of foam and make himself a riser.

Good tip. Ya, I’ve been worried about that as well.

Doing some mockups this afternoon to see how low we can get the scope but I won’t know how far off we will be until he comes over here for fitting.

I should mention the whole reason for a new rail is to get the scope back further for eye relief. As is was brought to me, the scope was as far back as he could get it but was still way too far forward to be comfortable. A new rail should make a huge difference but might still be fighting the cheek height.

Nice rifle. I don't see many of these rifles around. I found me one last year with a BRNO ZG47 action in 7mm rem mag. I enjoy shooting it an it's fairly accurate for a hunting rifle.
