Rifle Scopes Need Help What Base and rings

I am looking for a better set of Base and Ring set up for my Howa 1500 308. I am looking at the EGW Base Believe its the Weatherby 20moa Not sure if that is the right one or not. And I am looking at the Vortex Tactical Low 30mm or the Burris Xtreme Tactical low 30mm Rings. I have a Vortex 6.5 x 20 Viper for now. Any suggestions

I run EGW 20 moa bases on all of my bolt guns and have never had any problems... As far as rings go I use Leupold

now when people say they use leupold rings, does that mean the $35 regular ones, or the mark 4 $135 ones, casue i was thinking the weaver 6 bolt tacticals looked like they'd be more sturdy on those egw bases.

ya, those burris rings do look a bit better than the weavers for another ten bucks.

Legacy imports the Howa 1500 and has the exclusive on the mount.
I believe the best price is through Midway.
