Looking for help here. Doesn't Kimber make a .22 synthetic stocked benchrest rifle? Anyone have idea on cost, or better yet, anyone have any experience with one. I am wanting an accurate .22 to shoot some smaller local competitions in and to keep my eye sharp. Any suggestions?

Better off going on Rimfirecentral for that info. Anschutz makes a Br 22 but I dont remember any Kimbers. The old Kimber of Oregons didnt have very good quality barrels and the newer ones arent made any more. Maybe you can find a Rem40x or Win52. I have 2 Anschutz and the triggers, actions are among the best of there. They dominate small bore shooting.

Here are some Kimbers from the CMP.

The so called "rusty" Kimbers I've seen at the North Store last weekend, ARN'T. meaning they just look like they need a good cleaning. I don't have one, (I have too many Target 22s as it is) but every one I've talked to say they are shooters.

If the "rusty" bit scares you, even the $600 for the un issued is a good price.

If you want more info on the CMP Kimbers, go here and read the post about the Rusty's and/or ask about them. I've never heard of anyone who was disapointed in thir Kimbers from CMP.
