This is my second post on Sniper's Hide, and being I got no responses on the first post, I figured I must have not provided enough info., or it was just a plain bad, inexperienced question. Being I am in a dilemma though, I will try asking the question(s) another way.
Let me start by saying that I own only one bolt rifle, a Remington LTR-TWS which came with a Leupold 3.5x10x40. I have no back ground in long range shooting or different rifle systems, but I am trying to push the LTR to 500 yards. I am shooting MOA at 300, but I am having trouble maintaining that at 500. I feel that I am holding well and maintaining the fundamentals with each shot.
I am looking for guidance from someone who may have experience with this issue. So, I am wondering...is the rifle capable of maintaining MOA or better out to 500; is there something I should be doing to the rifle (i.e. upgrade optics, change barrel, etc.); should I look at upgrading to a new rifle?
Your input, suggestions or advice is much appreciated?
