What is the dif bettween the center feed and the old savage 10 short action. And could you please post pictures to show the difference and where can i find the new Choate Tactical stock for a savage model 10 double feed style action. combat stocks has one but not for the old style savage modle 10 in .223 rem.

The difference between the older staggered feed and newer center feed actions is the spacing of the action screws. Staggered feeds are 4.25" and center feeds are 4.40". The new Choate light tactical is not available for those actions. Bell&Carlson, And H&S Precision offer some decent stocks for those actions. Also the older Choate Ultimate Sniper, and Ultimate Varmint stocks are available for staggered feed actions.

Also McMillan and Manners make nice stocks for those rifles.You could also take a look at what Sharp Shooters Supply offers, he is THE Savage guy.
