Need some help!!
I have a 6GT left hand AW cut action in a MPA comp chassis and or a Oryx chassis. That I have tried MDT metal and plastic mags, and Pmags and it will not pick up the second to last round. The bolt rides over top the round. I'm using AICS pattern mags. Would AW mags help with this problem? Thanks for the help...

Possibly short stroking? I know that would be consistently odd on 2and to last rd. I'm not sure what impact can do for you, sounds like a mag problem. It is feeding everything before and after that rd. Got any pics of a loaded mag in chassis, I'd like to see where the rd sits in relation to bolt face. I assume on 2nd to last rd, for whatever reason, casehead on that cartridge is low and bolt is skimming over the top?

AW mags are double stack double feed, while AICS are double stack single feed. See the sticky thread under Bolt action Rifles forum about AI magazines. I'm not sure if the mags are interchangeable or will feed reliably...perhaps someone with more experience can chime in.

Generally, centerfeed aids mags feed easiest with 2 lug action and tend to be more reliable. Aw can be more finicky with odd cartridge shapes and especially 2 lug actions, they work great in 3 lug actions with 6/6.5creed and 308 case family.

Edit, op had that answer.

If his rifle is AW cut (it is), then the mags are interchangeable.

AW mags will generally need tweaking. Usually with the mag catch height.

Sliding over the top should be related to the mag catch not holding the mag high enough or the feed lips need to be opened up to let the round sit higher in the mag. Although it being the second to last only is a bit confusing. Only think I can think of is cycling the bolt slowly pushes the mag back down till it hits the too low latch. Or there it could be somehow related to spring pressure, are the rounds settled properly when the issue happens or are the rounds tipped up somewhat?

Or weak magspring or magspring is bent so that rear of case has less upward pressure, only causes issue when mag is close to empty. When full, wonky magspring doesnt influence as much.

*Usually* when it’s the last few rounds, there’s not enough tension on the followe spring. You can try stretching it out. It could also possibly be the mag lips. But I’d start with the follower spring.

Had a similar problem with the metal MDT mags and 6.5 Creedmoor. The back of the rounds wouldn’t rise up 100% of the time and allow the bolt to ride over. It seems like the mag spring may be too weak. Talked to MDT, and it appears my lips may be too narrow. Opened it up to the recommended size and going to see how it goes. Here’s a pic of what mine were doing
