need help with rod choice

hey guys, getting ready to order a new dewey rod mainly for my 700 aac-sd 20" i will be using a bore guide, will a 36 rod be plenty long or should i order the 40 inch version? just want to make this a one time thing and not have to send it back or worry about getting one that is super short or too long

the 36" will be plenty for a 20" barrel. I went with a 40, and that's overkill on my 20" barrel. Keep in mind if you have a longer barreled rifle in the future, you may be better off getting the 40".

36" rod will work with most rifles. The one you're referring to as well. You can get a .27-.35 cal rod or get a .22-.26 cal rod & clean anything with it.
