I need help identifying whether I am expecting to much from my rifle or I suck at shooting. Today I shot 50 rounds total in 10 groups of 5 rounds. All shots were prone from the bipod. Reloads were 155 AMax with 42Gr of Varget.

Background information on the rifle -
M1A scout sitting in a Troy MCS stock
Bushnell Elite 3200 10x40
Shimed gas system
SEI USCG muzzle brake

Re: Need Help

I'd say take your time, try not to get frustrated and shoot less rounds per sitting if things aren't going how you'd hoped they would. Lots of bad practice doesn't beat shooting less rounds of more focused shots. You could also try something like the dot drill. Sometimes folks struggle to try to maintain a group by putting a lot of pressure on themselves. Of course check all your mounts/screws for proper torque and tightness. Try other loads, factory etc.

Re: Need Help

Having someone work on your trigger and or buying a drop in replacement might help. That can make a big difference. Of course there could always be problems with the gun that I wouldn't know the first thing about. It might not be your fault like you said.
