My grandfather owns a Marlin 18 22 short and I am trying to get info about it. I have found some things on this magic box about it but nothing to clear. I do know it was produced between 1906-1909. Some prices have been from 90-2000 bucks. The SN is 10001. In my no so professional opinion its in 90-95% condition.

What he and I are trying to find out is how much the rifle is really worth (in a real world sense not at auction). Also how did marlin do their SNs. Did they start at 10000 or at 0. If pics are needed I can try to get some up later today. Thank you.
