Built a 6.5x270 WSM on an old Rem 721 30-06 action. Am having feeding problem out of magazine. Does anyone know rail spacing on a 300 WSM or 270 WSM? Looks like I need to mill some off rails in action for proper magazine feeding. I need to know how much to take off.

Feeding problems may be a good thing with that gun as the 6.5 WSM I built was only accurate for about 450 rounds. So single feeding it will hep you get a longer, but more frustrating, life out of it.
