Has anyone figured out the ideal jp bolt carrier and buffer combo for a complete jp upper in .224 Valkyrie with their 22 inch barrel. Thanks for any input
I currently have a variable mass carrier so was unsure if that would also affect which buffer as well as if the variable mass carrier was the right one for the setup or if I should get a low mass. I won’t be shooting suppressed.

Variable mass will work just fine if you have it already. I'd suggest using the steel weights on the VMOS and going with a standard silent spring. With steel weights you will have essentially "full" mass in the variable instead of the tungsten "heavy" configuration.
