I'm going to be shooting up to 300 yards, is is in the northeast so I expect (hope) that heat mirage etc wont be an issue. I am looking at the following spotting scopes, my desired budget is around $500:

Bushnell legend Ultra HD 20-60 x 80 ($480)
Vortex Diamondback 20-60 x 80 ($499)
I'll be shooting from .223 to 30-06.
I expect to be doing a range of shooting distances from 100 to 300 yards.
