Hey guys, i recently purchased a 1969 R700 BDL in 7mm Rem Mag for a steal, and i need to find a quality optic to put on top of her. I've been shooting for about 15 years but never really got into Magnum cartridges. I was wondering if i have to look into certain types of optics for the more nasty recoil/shock they hold over standard calibers (.308, .223 etc). As it is right now, i'm not looking for anything crazy price wise, just your good basic hunting scope. No need for side focus knobs, illuminated reticles, super high magnification etc. Just a classic looking rifle scope with a 1" tube.
I was looking around and came across a few i liked namely the these 3:

http://www.opticsplanet.net/leupold-3-9x...ex-reticle.html Leupold 3-9x50 Rifleman
http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell-elite-3-9x50-rainguard-hd-argon-purged-matte-riflescope.html Bushnell Elite 3-9x50
Now, i have the Bushnell 3200 Elite already on another rifle and I love the optic. It's clear, sharp reticle is impressive and i love the DOA reticle. I have no experience with the Leupold's however. Anyone able to shed some insight?
I'll be hunting mostly in upstate NY where the average shot i'll take is 50-75 yards but also as close as 20-25 yards. I'll see deer mostly at dawn/dusk so i figure the 50mm objective would be nice for light gathering capabilities. Any and all opinions/recommendations are welcomed. I'm trying to stay within the ~$350 range (already have base and rings installed).
Thanks for your time!
