Us older guys remember when we used hard cast wad cutters.Depends on the hard cast too.
Lots of people use that term. Definitions vary A LOT.
A proper blend of metals then heat treated will give the strongest bullets.
Montana Bullet Works makes amazing hard cast bullets you can push very fast.
For my semi-auto bear pistol (g21 to 460 Rowland) I am using a copper solid Lehigh Penetrator at 1500 fps
30” of penetration on average.
I think Underwood makes a good 10mm load if you dont want to handload. It will be under max safely achievable (so is their 460 Rowland) by about 75-100 fps.
