Awesome to know. I'll be sure to never buy shit from you.... </div></div>

I put the problems in the add and made the buyer perfectly aware the problems that I experienced and even offered him a 3 day return period. He never contacted me about a return, only about how accurate it shot.

I've never falsely advertised anything I've sold and I take offense to you accusing me of that. </div></div>

I bought the rifle from you Cory on AR15.com,and you never disclosed the feeding problems, just the paint flaking off and the lack of paint on parts of the chassis.I kind of see why you didn't want to sell it here since you disclosed the problems here..Hell if I would have seen your original thread here,I never would have bought it.

The rifle shot great, but it was my first precision rifle,I didn't know shit about it.Knowing what I know now I would have asked a lot more questions..

I ended up talking to Marty about the feeding problems and sent it in to him to check out,Marty has been nothing but helpful.

I never would have bought the rifle had I known it had feeding problems since I wanted a perfectly functioning rifle for my first precision type shooter, and for the money I paid..You couldn't have taken much a loss unless you bought the parts at hyper-inflated prices..Being as I was new to this type of shooting,I rarely,if ever fed ammo through the mag, just single loading and taking my time..learning the craft.

Only last year was when I started doing some quick type shooting from the mag is when the feeding problem became a nuisance.

I still like the rifle a lot,and have no regrets.but...you never disclosed the feeding problem,or if you did you understated it.

As of today, the rifle is at GAP getting re-painted..If Marty comes back to the thread,he can tell you more of what the problem was.
</div></div>

Nuff said, thanks for speaking up on here! I'm glad Marty got you squared away!

Re: Need reviews on Badger M2008 action

I forgot to ad,when I first contacted Marty about the problem he didn't hesitate to take a look at it..All he asked was that I pay the return shipping.

Looking forward to getting the rifle back, either way.

That's not true, I disclosed everything about the rifle with you. If I recall correctly I even talked to you over the phone about it but I'm not 100% on it. I know we discussed it in PM's because I also told you about the firing pin problem. The only reason it wasn't listed here as well was because I was on a time out at the time and there's no way I could list it here.

If Marty knows what caused the feeding issue I would be happy to hear, but I've said it before and I'll say it again, he never offered to look at the rifle for me or else I would have sent it there.

I most certainly did lose a good chunk of change, I still have the receipt for the stock, inlet, action, aswell as the build sheet from Patriot Arms.

The receiver, specifically the M2008 Bolt action receiver, is basically a glofified piston that only moves two directions, let's say in and out. Ok, from there, there's a lot of factors that will cause the gun to not function properly. Say, I dunno, how the chamber is cut maybe for starters? When a round is chambered into a bolt action rifle, the round doesn't enter the chamber in a straight path, it comes up from the bottom and the tip and case rub against the bottom of the chamber mouth. If that section isn't smoothed out, you'll have issues. If the magazine isn't at the correct height, you'll have issues. You say the AICS was inletted by Marty, so my guess is the inletting was done correctly. As far as the mag release, when he inletted mine two AICS's, he didn't touch the release as he insisted the gun plumber that was finishing it complete the work as to insure proper fitting. My guess is he did the same with yours, as he has done with several others that I know of.

Now please explain to me how Marty/Badger caused that potential problem? You say you spoke with Marty "quite a bit" back when you were experiencing these issues. How many times did he offer to have you send him the rifle so he could take a look at it and fix it, at HIS expense, as well as ship it back to you, at HIS expense? I've spoke with Marty a fair amount of times, and your story isn't adding up here as I would stake my reputation on the fact that if there was an issue and you went to Marty with it, he would have offered to fix it for you. All you would have had to pay is shipping to Badger.

The main issue here is you have no clue of what which you speak, and it's becoming glaringly obvious. My suggestion is shut up, let it go, and move on. You're only making yourself look dumber. </div></div>

What does the chamber have to do with how a gun feeds? NOTHING. The action should sit in the stock and feed rounds correctly out of the mag without a barrel even installed on it. The rounds were jamming IN THE ACTION, they were never making it to the chamber.

I'll say it again JERED DID NOTHING THAT COULD HAVE EFFECTED HOW IT FEEDS.

Marty told me the mag release didn't have to be touched to feed from AICS mags and that is would only need to be modified to use AW mags. Jered checked the way the mag was sitting and sent it out.

Marty never offered to look at it. He pointed the finger at Jered and Jered pointed the finger at the stock and action which Marty inletted. I was in the middle of a cluster fuck with my rifle, you don't know the situation and your sitting behind a keyboard speculating. </div></div>

Your first statement shows how little you know. As to your comments that Marty never offered to look at it, I'm going to waive the bullshit flag on that one. I'm tired of arguing with a 21 year old rich kid who has an extreme case of self entitlement. I'm done with you.

To the OP, go with a M2008 with confidence, they're awesome receivers and you won't be let down! Feel free to PM me if you have any further questions. </div></div>

If he says the rounds are jamming in the <span style="font-weight: bold">action</span>, then exactly what does the barrel have to do with anything here?

Re: Need reviews on Badger M2008 action

The barrel issue was a suggestion, as was the improper magazine depth, however neither are tied directly to the receiver having "feeding issues" as Cory said above. I do find it funny that having bought the receiver directly from Badger as Cory claims, he supposedly wasn't offered to send the rifle in for Marty to look at it, BUT the current owner called having bought it 2nd hand and was told send it right in and we'll take a look. Interesting for sure...

Yeah it couldn't have anything to do with the fact its at GAP getting money put into it.

Jered has confirmed that I talked to both him and Marty about the feeding issue because Jered also talked to Marty about it. This is a FACT.

If Marty offered to look at the rifle, why would I NOT send it in and have it looked at? Please tell me that. If Marty had said he would look at the rifle it would have been on the way to him the next day. Do you think I wanted a $4K+ rifle that didn't work right? Use some common sense man.

Greetings from Alabama, I’ve been reading about the m2008 issues here and have recently purchased a badger ordnance rifle (m2008)in 338lm. The serial number is 0290 and trying to determine if it’s generation 1 or 2. It seems to be a fine build but I’ve yet to make it to the range. Can you tell which action, 1 or 2 , I’ve purchased from the serial number? Thanks in advance.

Do some more searching. The thread you bumped is almost 9 years old.
