Hi guys,
I need advice from guys that have and shoot out to 1000+ yards. I'm currently running a Schmidt and Bender PMII 3-20x50 CCW MTC/LT on my Surgeon Scalpel. I'm thinking about selling it to purchase the S&B PMII 5-25x56 LP/MTC/LT to get the extra magnification, which I know wouldn't be a bad thing. Currently the range I go to only allows me to shoot out to 300 yards, but if I want to take it to a course that allows me to shoot 1000+ would I absolutely need the extra magnification? Like I said before I know it wouldn't hurt but I just figured I would pick your guys brains about the issue.
Thanks everyone

I have S&B 3-12 PMII and I shoot it out to a klick, or even more (so far up to 1200-1300 meters). Works fine for me, you have almost twice the magnification compared to that. Perhaps do not sell it yet, but rather try it first and see whether it satisfies your needs or not. Smaller is lighter and more compact too, I guess.

I just did the Bang Steel course and shot out to 1200 yards.

I dialed by VIper PST 6-24 BACK from max magnification to see my misses for corrections.
