Gunsmithing Need some advice for a wood stock project

I have been handed a stock for my Win 52B and as you can see it's been buggered up pretty good. I want to fill the bottom section amd then fix that buttstock spacer disaster.
I was thinking Bondo and some screws or nails for it to grab onto?
Any suggestions, help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Kevin IMG_3274.JPG

That stock is pretty far gone. Replacement stocks are easily available on e-bay. If you must fix it, you need to get walnut blocks and glue/acraglass them to the old stock, using dowels to reinforce. Then reshape the blocks to match the stock contours.

That's how I feel looking at that...... I mean I think I kinda know where they were going with it but then just sort of winged it and there you go. I like a project as much as the next guy but I think I'd get a replacement stock and treat that one as my bitch stock to practice repairs on.

There is a stock on eBay right now.
Has 2 days left in the bidding.
Bid is currently less than $20, with around $17 shipping.

Please act fast.....
Don't know if there is enough time to start a "go fund me" page.
