I am trying to decide on a new stock for my 700 and could use a couple measurements. I am concerned with the distance from the grip to the trigger. I am pretty picky about my trigger finger placement and if I am going to spend a bunch of money on a new stock it needs to be perfect. I tried a McCree chassis this week and it was a no go.

I would like to know the distance pictured below of either a XLR chassis or a Manners T5.

I would also like the distance below of a Manners T2 or T6(if anyone has one yet)

Thanks for any help you can give!

I just measured my Savage action in a McRee, and it measured 2.700", just like your AR. What was your issue with the McRee? Unless 2.700" is the problem....

Hmmm 2.7 on my AR is perfect. With the McCree I could barely reach the trigger with just an A2 in place.

    Now I'm confused.

Anyone have a Manners T5 they could measure? That's the one I really need to know.

    Thanks

My Chassis is the latest design(G5 TMAG)if it matters, maybe Scott changed something. Mines very comfy!

    Yes it does, thank you.

I'm probably going to go with a Manners Mini Chassis in something. Just not sure which stock yet.

I've been looking at a T5 for a savage action that I have laying around. Got a chance to get behind one at a f-class shoot this summer and It seemed to fit me well. Not alot of thumb hole stocks around the shoots I attend, seems hit and miss with people weather they like them or not.

Re: Need some stock measurements if possible.

Yeah I've always wanted to try a T5 but I can't find one anywhere to see if I like it.

Call manners and ask if they have one they can send to you to feel up. Nice lady at the front desk can help there. Shipping may wind up being all yours, but then you can at least get a feel for it.

I had them do this...they shipped it to me and I paid $15-20 to send it back insured.

That's what I an planning on doing. I just need to narrow down which one I think will be best.
