Need some workout music

Re: Need some workout music

I prefer stuff like Children of Bodom, Soilwork, In Flames, Trivium, Metallica, Die Apokalyptischen Reiter, Five Finger Death Punch, and anything else that is fast and heavy.

Re: Need some workout music

Metallica, 5DP, Skillet, Evenge 7 Fold, Sick Puppies, Breaking Benjamin, Korn, Disturbed, Flaw, Ra, Powerman 5k, Mudvayne, Static X, Rammstein, 2013....anything hard and fast.

+1 Would add in a little AC/DC too.

Re: Need some workout music

Rob Zombie, Static X, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch, AC/DC, Metallica, Powerman 5000... and the list goes on... those are for the heavy sets, i usually have my itouch playin GB insider Xtreme, that gets me going even more.

Re: Need some workout music

Along with many of the above, Meshuggah is another heavy band worth placing in the play cycle.

Re: Need some workout music

Thanks for all the advice so far. I thought Metallica was going to be the answer,so I downloaded the black album or whatever it's called. It's heavy enough, but too slow on a lot of it. I'll keep chewing through all the recommendations.

I just failed the "damn your old" test, I could not understand a fricken word he was saying.

Still love the warrior project, AC/DC Thunder struck, hells bells and a little Whitesnake.

Re: Need some workout music

I love oriental bamboo flute music myself.
a few minutes of meditation and ready to go.

I also take one of my bamboo flutes to the dojo occasionally and play before a work out.

Absolutely. I can't believe I forgot them. When I'm running, though, sometimes their unusual meters throw off my pace. It's pretty funny to watch when that happens.

Try getting one of their first albums or their latest one. Kill 'em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice For All, and Death Magnetic contain the majority of their fast stuff.

Re: Need some workout music

I've been listening to a lot of Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, and Flatfoot 56. Give those groups a try.

Re: Need some workout music

Thousand Foot Krutch, Skillet, Fireflight, Kutless, The Fray, Lifehouse, Disciple Rocks, Abandon, Third Day, Ted Nugent, AC/DC

Re: Need some workout music

Work out music should be more than entertainment, it should be a path to a reinvention of the self.

Punk is the Way and the Light, although not always the Truth:

The Clash - London Calling / Give 'em Enough Rope
Treponem Pal - Excess and Overdrive
Rollins Band - The End of Silence
The Gun Club - Miami
Skinny Puppy - The Process / Remission
Joy Division - Closer
The Wipers - Youth of America
Sex Pistols - Never Mind the Bollocks

Re: Need some workout music

I alwys listen to techno while working out, especially running. The constant beat helps me keep a pace.

Re: Need some workout music

Thrashmetal, to d-beat punkrock, to west coast punk, and when that gets old I'll switch over to techno or electro.

Justice is pretty good workout music

I was wondering about that. I recently purchased a lefse griddle. I'm anxious to try it out and see if I can duplicate what my long gone relatives used to make.

Haha funny you say that I'm headed to my Uncle Luther's house this weekend to have our annual lefse grill.

I'd offer to send some of that, but it never survives shipping it seems.

Better fresh anyhow.

We've got a bottle of Lillehammer stowed away just for the occasion.

Re: Need some workout music

I love DeathCore so:
We Butter The Bread With Butter (german music)
Suicide Silence
Despised Icon
the Acacia Strain
As Blood Runs Black
Parkway Drive
August Burns Red
Emmure
For The Fallen Dreams
Job For A Cowboy
Whitechapel

Thats just to name a few. Pissed off allways makes me work out harder. Although if its cardio i typically go for something with a better beat just to keep me consistent

Re: Need some workout music

My "Go To" for heavy lifts...

Disturbed "Dropping Plates"

HED P.E. "Raise Hell"

If these don't get you pumped, you don't have a pulse.

Re: Need some workout music

Metallica and Eminem and when I really have to dig deep, Disturbed!
